I've got a Windows 2008 VPS for a little project I'm working on and found that I needed to use Telnet to test that a port was working ocrrectly, thinking this would be the quickest way. Wrong - Telnet client isn't installed by default so it would seem at last that Microsoft make you install every no essential tool / program as you need it so thumbs up to that. Having upgraded via a clean install to Snow Leopard at Christmas, I'm still finding little things that I need to tweak in my systems prefs. Todays' one was being able to tab through the buttons in a dialogue, I didn't want to keep going to the mouse while my hands where firmly on the keyboard. So if you go to Apple Menu » System Preferences » Keyboard » Keyboard Shortcuts tab and at the bottom ensure All Controls radio button is selected.
